Eclectic, vibrant and energetic. We’re throwing a fiesta this August in one of the city centre’s favourite laneways. From live entertainment to food pop ups, this is one event you don’t want to miss out on as Imperial Lane comes alive this Restaurant Month.
Food is our muse, so gather the group, dust off your finest outfit, and join us for Restaurant Month’s biggest night out. It’s all under a shelter – so leave those umbrellas at the door!
Start the evening right with a welcome drink on arrival – a choice of wine from New Zealand wineries, or a sparkling Italian non-alcoholic beverage by Sanpellegrino. Then the aroma of deliciousness awaits – Savour moreish delights from a line up from the laneways’ favourite eats, and joining these establishments are some innovative pop ups that have come onto the dining radar of keen foodies: Ragtag Tacos, with their duck fat tortillas with sublime taco fillings and Passa Passa with their beloved pizza fritta, one of the oldest form of pizzas with a fresh Passa Passa twist. Both pop ups have developed a strong following since their inception.
If you’re looking to complete the food experience with a wine match, the Everybody’s bar will be stocked with a great selection of New Zealand wines – ask the team for a suggested pairing to your dish.
Keeping the fiesta going through the night is live music and entertainment in 3 different areas of the venue - each with its own flavour. Take your pick of location or make your way round them all.
Fashion scouts will be out in force too looking for the best dressed, so come clad in your finest! Winners will receive a $100 voucher from one of the amazing food pop ups; and there are 4 chances to win throughout the evening.
The foodie part of the evening officially ends at 8.30pm, however your ticket allows you to stay on at Imperial Lane, or Everybody’s to dance the night away as the band kicks it into gear.

Food is on a pay-as-you-eat basis: priced approximately $8 - $15 per dish.
