Rangoli Activation and Indian Classical Dance

11AM-1PM - Rangoli Activation
This is a fun and interactive workshop for everyone. You are invited to colour in Rangoli designs with the expert guidance of Sarah Dutt, one of the Kshetra Collective artists currently exhibiting in Te Taunga Community Hub (which can be located in the Grand Foyer).

1PM-2PM - Indian Classical Dance
Mudras and Storytelling is a lecture demonstration for all to enjoy. Mandy Rupa-Reid will present this activation that gives the history of the ancient Bharatanatyam practice and then moves into a lesson on Mudras - the hand gestures used to tell a story. At the end of the Activation a handout on Bharatanatyam Mudras will be given out for dance enthusiasts to take home.
