Raise Up is a Youth Development Programme made for youth, by youth (ages 13-18 years).
The Y has run this programme across Aotearoa NZ for many years, and it’s time for Timaru to join the excitement!
Raise Up Timaru aims to recruit 15-20 young people to imagine, create and carry out events in the community. These can be large or small-scale events limited only by young peoples’ imaginations, from community clean-ups to life skills workshops, to parties and movie nights!
The programme has bronze, silver and gold endorsements that help young people gain leadership, event management and conflict resolution skills – great additions to any CV! Beyond the practical advantages, Raise Up fosters growth and quality relationships among Crew members and the wider community.
