CHANGE of VENUE: The latest forecasts for tonight's weather are that there will be unspecified amounts of rain preceding and during our gig. We've decided that the risks are too great to use Potters Park and are falling back to our alternate venue: The Cricket Pavilion at the Domain. Entrance from either Park Road or Carlton-Gore Road.
Get ready to laugh outside on the grass Mt Eden. As part of Auckland Fringe we're back from hibernation, bringing 90 to 120 minutes, more or less, of live, in person, stand-up comedy featuring Auckland comedians at a variety of levels performing for you. You never know what you'll get, but it's always fun.
We start at 7:00 and finish sometime after 8:30 PM in Potters Park on the corner of Balmoral & Dominion Roads, Mt Eden. We will try to be between the band rotunda and Dominion Road.
In the event of rain, we will move to the cricket pavilion in Auckland Domain. Check the discussion on Facebook for announcements.
Bring something to sit on and a water bottle. Snacks can be good also. It's hard to hear laughter over rumbling stomachs.
If you want to consume alcohol in moderation, this is not a liquor ban area, but you will need to bring your own.
Park Comedy gigs are Open Mics, anyone is welcome to listen and laugh, but if you'd like to stand-up and tell jokes, you can book a spot on the microphone through the performer sign-up form (link above) or just ask the MC for a spot on the night and we'll do our best to fit you in. Performers at all levels of experience are warmly welcomed.
