Dabke is a Levantine folk dance where male and female participants line up and execute steps marked by the Al Ras (leader/head). This communal dance, arose from the daily activity among family, friends and neighbors, is a mix of steps, footwork and jumps with people holding hands and shoulders.
Each class, we will go deeper into Lebanese Dabke.
1st Class:
Introduction to Lebanese Dabke and it's origins
2nd & 3rd Class:
Introduction to Lebanese Independence Day and Dabke as a show format

4th & 5th Class:

Dance rehearsals
Open to all level of dancers. You have the option to perform on Lebanese Independence Day.
