New Zealand School of Dance celebrates 55 years of World Class Training.
The New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD) has played a significant role in shaping this country’s dance culture for more than half a century and its 55th Anniversary Regional Performance Season proudly reflects its achievements.
This year’s Regional Performance Season is a celebration of the talent and creativity that resides in Aotearoa New Zealand, presenting a dazzling showcase for the exceptional talents of the School’s young dancers and alumni who have come back to create works on the NZSD students. The Season is a truly wonderful mix of newly created and traditional works.

Looking back at past works and revisiting these with new energy has been like opening a time capsule. NZSD returns to Southward Theatre and Expressions Arts & Culture Centre with outstanding performances of both classical ballet and contemporary dance. The repertoire will feature exciting highlights and cutting-edge choreography.
