Milton "the town of opportunities" has a new outdoor market on Saturday mornings, in the shelter of the Tokomairiro Churchyard. Look for the church spire, you can't miss it.

Springing into action for the first time on 3rd September, the market has lots of arts and home-crafts, new and pre-loved clothing, plants, honey, coffee and donuts. More locally grown fruit and vegetables will start appearing as the season progresses.
Milton is centrally located in the Clutha District and an ideal hub for local food producers from around the area to network and get to know their customers.

The weekly market is an opportunity for local groups to fund-raise with sausage sizzles or home baking, donated goods and produce stalls. It's easy to make plans around.
Buskers are very welcome, and there's a poets' corner. Go the website, if you'd like to entertain us on a Saturday morning, and sign up. www.miltonsaturdaymarket.net
Details about stall sizes and prices are on the website and a lot of sites have room for a vehicle. Bookings are essential. You can also find us on facebook.com/miltonsaturdaymarket

Occasionally, a market will be cancelled for a funeral, snow, or another unavoidable event. In that case, the public will be advised as soon as possible beforehand and stall-holders with bookings will be contacted directly.

The Parish's Mini Town Bazaar which is being held on 8th October, was planned before the market was proposed. It will be well-worth paying a visit to the church bazaar and supporting the work they do.
There is a donation of $5 from every stall-fee, to the Parish Council, for the privilege of using their lovely churchyard. It will be put to good use.
