Light the Sky Tower

It’s hard to imagine Tāmaki Makaurau without the iconic Sky Tower, lighting up the skyline since 1997. More FM are the proud partner, to celebrate our 25th birthday this August – and we want you there!!

To celebrate the big 25, come down to the base of the Sky Tower on 4, 5, and 6 of August for three nights of entertainment and your chance to light the tower for the second time in history! You heard right; you can light the Sky Tower!

Bring your whānau and friends and come down between 6-9pm to choose a colour you love and light up the Sky Tower for your iconic moments! Sky Tower light options: Pink, Blue, Orange, Green, Red, Purple, Gold, Pastel Party, More FM Moment and Sky Tower Surprise!

It’s going to be a night of entertainment with More FM’s DJ’s bringing the beats, food trucks, face painters, Scotty Sky Tower, and test out your skills at the All Blacks Experience passing cage. Plus, keep a lookout for a mysterious creature that has broken out of Wētā Workshop Unleashed! Best to find her, before she finds you!

We recommend arriving early to secure your spot in the queue to light the Sky Tower!

We’re hoping for great weather but remember to wrap up warm and bring your raincoats and umbrellas just in case!

Bubble shows and interactive magic shows in the Sky Tower every weekend – plus Scotty Sky Tower will be roaming so don’t forget to say happy birthday!
