Nau mai, haere mai!
Te Poari o Kaipātiki ki Kaipara warmly invites whānau, friends, and our community to the Kaipātiki Reserve Community Planting Day.
Be part of history as we start to restore the native vegetation and habitat for wildlife. With your help, we aim to plant a total of 4,753 wetland plants this planting season.
This is also an opportunity to see the plans for an expansive new māra hūpara (playground), spaces to relax, and paths to explore. These amenities, amongst others are woven together in a design that seeks to appreciate the local heritage, lands, waters, and the local Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara people and ancestry.
Please register your interest at tepoariokaiptikikikaipara@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz
This is so we know we’ve got enough sausages on the bbq and we can update you about things like weather delays.
On the Day
Some spades will be provided, along with sunscreen, water, and light refreshments. There will be a free sausage sizzle to conclude the day. Please dress prepared for all weather conditions and wear strong covered shoes or boots. Photos may be taken for promotion and reporting purposes by Te Poari o Kaipātiki ki Kaipara. Help fight against kauri dieback disease. Please bring clean footwear (gumboots are the best option) and equipment.
