Ivy Blue front man James Brodie returns to the stage for the first time since 2019 since 2019 on his first-ever solo theatre tour to share stories and songs about growing up with Autism and ADHD.

The Becoming Brodie Tour will kick off in Auckland at the Auckland Fringe Festival before making its way to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane through to mid-October, performing stripped-down versions of his back-catalogue with Ivy Blue and renditions of his new material taken off his debut solo album Becoming (out June 24) while sharing stories about growing up with Autism and ADHD in a new theatrical production. As you might have guessed, these shows will primarily be taking place in small to mid-sized theatres instead of the more intimate venues James has performed at in recent years with Ivy Blue, bringing James back to his theatrical roots formed as a member of the ACTA acting group at the Future Te Aroha Centre where James's performing career (and these stories) began over 20 years ago.

And with thanks to Creative Communities in Waipa District and Matamata-Piako; this tour will also see James performing four 'Hometown Shows' in Cambridge, Morrinsville, Matamata, and Te Aroha in late October and early November, bringing James's 2022 tour to a close in his hometown of Te Aroha on November 4th on the same stage that he began performing on over 20 years ago at Future Te Aroha- truly bringing these stories home to the place they originated.

All Shows are on sale now at brodiespaces.wix.com/brodie (with Hometown shows going on sale Friday August 19 at 10.00am)
