Impressions - Plateau Printmakers

Plateau Printmakers is a group of friends who meet regularly in Maggie Dawson’s Studio 92 to share ideas and inspire each other with printmaking techniques.
We first exhibited together six years ago at the Taupo Museum and Art Gallery and have since each developed our own style.

Most of us belong to the Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand (PCANZ) which runs workshops, exhibitions and in early 2023 is to launch a book celebrating 20 years of PCANZ featuring the work of printmakers from all over NZ. Individually we have attended workshops all over NZ, UK, Barcelona as well as an artist residency in Tuscany.

As a group we have facilitated events in the wider community to encourage a greater appreciation of print: such as drop-in sessions at Taupo Winter Festival and Taupo Art Trail and the international Moth Migration Project.

The Plateau Printmakers will be providing a range of printmaking workshops for children and Adults during the exhibition.
