Clutha District Libraries Book Sale

Throughout the district, community library shelves are looking a lot healthier. New books are arriving and it’s time for some of our pre-loved books to find a new home. Since the container is full, this can only mean one thing!

Clutha District Libraries are having another big book sale at the Balclutha Community Library, from Thursday 2nd of June to Sunday 5th of June, open 9 am to 5 pm each day. The sale will take place inside a marquee located to the side of the library building. Parking is available on all bordering streets.

The library will be operating the same hours as the book sale. If you are rummaging through the sale and get a late autumn chill, warm up inside! Our friendly staff will point you to your favourite author or share information on upcoming events and resources.

Books will be sold at $5 per bag (BYO bag!), and there are no costs for children's books. Of course, we want you to get the best deal, so prices are negotiable. Additionally, there will be coffee, doughnuts, and fresh bread available for purchase (until our venders sell out!).
