Christmas at the Sky Tower | 3-24 December
It’s not Christmas if you don’t visit the tallest Christmas tree in Tāmaki Makaurau! This festive season, the Sky Tower is the place to be, with events and activities for the whole whānau to see the magic of Christmas.
Visit the world’s highest post box to the North Pole!
Every child visiting in December will be given their very own postcard so they can write a letter to Santa up the iconic Sky Tower! They can then make their way up to the highest post box in the world, 220 metres up the Sky Tower, and post it to the North Pole!
The Sky Tower theatre has been magically transformed, to celebrate the release of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Packed with fun activities and FREE activity booklets, visit for Puss in Boots photo opportunities and a wishing well for your Christmas wish.
PLUS, get a photo with Santa in the SkyCity Atrium for FREE on weekends from 12pm -7pm.
Christmas Workshops!
3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 December from 11am – 3.30pm
Bring the little elves on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 3.30pm to make their own Christmas decorations with clay, sparkles and ribbon to take home and hang on the Christmas Tree.
From 13 December, the Sky Tower will be lighting up as the biggest Christmas tree in Tāmaki Makaurau, so keep a lookout every hour from 8.30pm – 11pm for the Sky Tower dance in magical festive lights.
Give the gift that’s bursting with fun and activity – a Sky Tower annual pass
The Sky Tower Annual Pass unlocks unlimited access to our school holiday activations and the best views in the town for 365 days. You’ll get a complimentary free pass for every visit with the Adult and Child pass. PLUS, purchase or renew your Annual Pass by the end of the year to get a free SkySlide ticket!
There are loads more happening too, so head to SkyCity for the most magical Christmas!
