This festive class is an excellent way to have fun and make some gorgeous lasting jewellery gifts for your loved ones (or a sneaky gift for yourself!).
Beginners choose from a set of silver, brass and copper stacking rings, a simple set of textured earrings (stud or drops) or a simple pendant which can be hung on a chain or cord. More experienced students are able to work on their own projects with assistance from the tutors.
Sets of stacking rings are excellent gifts; you will need to know what ring size you want to make - we recommend borrowing a ring from your giftee, or seeing if they fit one of your rings for size. Earrings and pendants also make great gifts, no sizing is needed.
Chains and cords are available to purchase. Basic materials are supplied in your class costs. If you are exceptionally productive or quick there may be time to make several items and more metal is available for you to purchase. Please note due to the mix of student levels and projects in these classes, flexibility is needed. Please bring a few ideas to your class and your tutors will help you choose the most achievable projects for the timeframe.
Included in the class fee are copper and brass for practising on, up to 8 grams of sterling silver and all consumables such as sandpaper, solder and chemicals. Extra metals are available for purchase in the studio.
Kids aged 12 (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
