Physical development is a key domain of your child’s overall development. It relates to the growth and skill development in the body, including the brain, muscles and senses. Physical development experiences and activities are crucial in the early years to establish appropriate bone growth, coordination, motor skill development and create exercise habits of a lifetime.
Have you ever wondered…
- What are growing pains? How do I support my child through their growth spurts? When can I expect major growth periods to occur?
- What shoes are best for my child to wear? Is barefoot, ok? Does my child have flat feet?
- How do I help prevent or manage common growth or pre-adolescent injuries in my child?
- How much sport or activity should my child be doing? One sport or multiple sports?
This evening session is designed to empower parents of primary and intermediate-aged children, to help you support your children as they grow, by providing knowledge and clinical experience from a paediatric physiotherapist. This session aims to be interactive, creating a supportive environment to ask questions, learn and reflect. Better still, all proceeds from this session go to Cure Kids for their annual Red Nose Day, Friday 29th July.
