Children's book author Malcolm Clarke hosts Tu Meke Tamariki: a creative presentation for children of all ages. Expect giggles and gasps as Malcolm begins with an interactive reading of his award-winning book, Tu Meke Tūī! The event will then provide attendees with inspiration for their own character exploration and encourage engagement with our natural world through waiata and creative play. Suitable for children 2 - 8 years of age and their whānau.

The book reading will be held indoors. All attendees over the age of 12 years will be required to wear a face mask.

Run time 30-45 minutes

Registration is essential and numbers are limited.

Malcolm believes that highlighting the importance of conservation through inspiring stories will help to prepare children to be kaitiaki (guardians) who care for their world now and in the future.
His wealth of experience and 'try anything' attitude have earned him invitations to present at events such as the Auckland Writers Festival and the Children's Book Awards at Te Papa. Malcolm's next mission is to develop a series of collaborative workshops for children to grow literary awareness and inspire young creatives in New Zealand.
