Bent Horseshoe - Record Fair

we are holding another record fair at the Hokowhitu Bowling Club on Saturday the 18th June starting at 11am and running through to 3pm.

There is great parking and if the last 2 are anything to go by we will need it.

For the first hour we were 4 to 5 deep at the tables with many a great bargain found.

Sellers will be coming from as far away as Auckland along with some local people.

Some of us have been in the secondhand record trade since the 1970s and some are quite new.

There will be all types of records for sale both LPs and 45s and everything from rare NZ releases to Jazz, punk, country, new wave, folk etc in fact anything you can name will be represented.

A great time to pick up that rarity that you have been looking for for years.

Some people have never given up on the vinyl experience and some are new to the field.

Buyers range in age from teenagers to people in their 70s. Some are replacing records they sold years ago and to some it is a new experience to find that piece of vinyl, look at the covers and to check the condition.

You cannot hold a download or Spotify in your hands, and read who played Bass etc.

There is something special about the whole experience that has been lost over the years.
