Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision and Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage are proud to present Barry Barclay: The Camera on the Shore (2009), a documentary film that looks at the life and work of the remarkable New Zealander Barry Barclay. This screening will be introduced by Reina Solomon (Ngāti Toa Rangatira), Project Manager for Te Tai Whakaea Treaty Settlement Stories.

About the speakers
Reina Solomon (Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Te Āti Awa, Ngāti Raukawa) — Project Manager for Te Tai Whakaea Treaty Settlement Stories. Māori media studies scholar, and mum of three.

Graeme Tuckett — Director of Barry Barclay: The Camera on the Shore (2009) Graeme Tuckett is a professional writer, reviewer, and broadcaster for The Dominion Post, Stuff and Radio New Zealand. He previously wrote and directed Tokelau: Living By the Sun (2014) and a series of documentaries on influential New Zealand artists. Graeme works in the film industry as a script assessor, as a location scout and is the owner and operator of the film crewing services Crew Wellington and Crew Auckland.

Annie Collins — Editor of Barry Barclay: The Camera on the Shore (2009). Annie is known for her work on a number of documentaries, having edited many significant films including PATU! (1983), The Neglected Miracle (1985) and Gardening With Soul (2013). She has won awards for her editing work on Scarfies (1999) and Out of the Blue (2006). Annie has recently been working on various editing projects and with young editors to support the development of their craft.
