Bannockburn Arts School is a week-long celebration of creativity that includes creative workshops, an art exhibition showcasing local talent, and an exciting evening programme to further entice the senses.

Bannockburn Arts School offers 10 creative workshops brought to you by experts in their respective fields.

The workshop options are:

Creative Photography: Move your thinking and your photography skills with Celia Walmsley

Sculptural Pottery: For those who have always wanted to create either a realistic or abstract sculpture. This workshop will be led by Kathi McLean

Life Drawing and the Creative Process: Learn to draw from real life and how to channel your creativity. In this workshop you will spend the morning doing life drawing with Alan Coull, and the afternoons exploring the creative process with Christine O'Donnell.

Painting: Join Gail de Jong in practical experimentation in painting leavened with some art historical, theoretical influences and literature. The subject matter will be generally based on landscape

Travels in My Kitchen: Judith Cullen will be taking a small group of foodies on a virtual cook’s tour of Europe.

Wine Master Class: Learn about wine from Bannockburn winemakers, with visits to Felton Road Winery, Quartz Reef, Tannacrieff Vineyard, Stewart Town and Black Quail Vineyard.

Water Colour and Mixed Media: Join Susie Ruddenklau to learn about contemporary wet on wet technique on stretched paper, with a limited palette and some layering with charcoal and/or pastel

Writing Poetry: Sam Duckor-Jones will offer keys to loosen up and enjoy words as painting, music, chaos, absurdity, fun. By the weeks end you will have a small portfolio of their own original poems that have been workshopped by their peers

Write Your Family Story: Susan Curran, will work with you to find a structure and approach to your writing project which works, that enables you to use valuable old material and to mine your own and others' recollections.

Creative Writing: Laura Williamson will introduce you to a range of tools and techniques to help you get started on a piece of writing, refine and polish a written draft, and gain the confidence to experiment with words and structure
