About your hosts Lauren Appleton and Lucy Edwards;

Lauren Appleton owner of Vela Yoga and teacher at Wild Well-being, believes that is that yoga really can be for everyone, and that creating a little space in our lives to regularly refocus on our breath and body can be hugely beneficial for our overall wellbeing.

Lauren is in her second year of study at the Naturopathic College of NZ to become a clinical Nutritionist and Naturopath, and brings new and exciting ideas based on the latest research. She studied yoga at the renowned Byron Yoga Centre in Australia, a facility specialising in ‘Purna’ – meaning integrated, or complete – and has evolved her own Hatha-fusion style which she teaches with a focus on alignment and breath intertwined with many years of experience practising and teaching. Lauren is a mother of two young children, and knows all too well that amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy life we all need to carve out a little space for ourselves.

Lucy Edwards is a qualified Nutritionist, Natural Therapist and Health Coach with more than 15 years experience. Lucy understands that everybody is different, and she draws from her wealth of knowledge and experience to offer specific advice that suits your personal set of needs. She is also available to provide workshops, both in-person and online, on a range of health-related topics. Some of her high end clients include Shortland Street Actors, International Comedians, Olympic Athletes and NZ Army Fitness Instructors.
