NB: This is only available in Level 1.

Please Note: Earlier start time at 5.30 means this is ideal for families with young children. Please consider one of our other walks if you do not have younger children.

Bring: Study, close-toed shoes and a torch/ head torch!

Grab the family or some friends and head outdoors to try and spot - or should we say hear - some native pekapeka (bats). We will be exploring the ngahere (forest) with our pekapeka detectors and seeing what other creatures we can see at night time. Learn about pekapeka, and what we can do to help them out!

An accessible (strollers and people in wheelchairs are most welcome) free, family-friendly event suitable for primary/intermediate age children who are allowed to stay up til 9pm! Brought to you by Community Waitākere and our friends at Waitākere Ranges Local Board.

Due to Covid-19 shuffle arounds we do not have raindates, but may release some extra walks if we get rained off!
