Book Launch: There's a Bear in the Window

Bring your teddy bears along to the launch of a new children's book, 'There's a Bear in the Window' by June Pitman-Hayes, told in both English and Māori celebrating the great teddy bear hunt during the 2020 lockdown.

There will be singing, storytelling and lots of fun.

June Pitman-Hayes is a creative writer, singer-songwriter, lyricist and poet. Growing up in Tamaterau, June studied at Massey University towards a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English. She began writing songs and performing from a young age. June is the author/musician of 'Tāwhirimātea: A Song for Matariki', 'Kia Ora – You can be a Kiwi too', 'My Kiwi Gumboots', and 'Kia Kaha! - Together, standing strong', all published by Scholastic NZ.

Author will have copies of her new older books for sale: $20 each, cash only.
