EVENT UPDATE: The Spring Salute to Dads is unfortunately cancelled. We are still hoping to catch Ongaonga in their finest form at the Victorian Market and Fair on 19 September, pending Alert Level changes.

Step back in time and celebrate both the first weekend of Spring and Father’s Day at Ongaonga Historic Village.

Discover the village’s heritage listed buildings, including a peak at the Category Listed 1 Coles NZ building currently under restoration, poke your head into Ongaonga Museum and enjoy a traditional New Zealand bush tea straight from the Billy and cooked over hot Kanuka coals at this truly unique fair.

Running from midday until 4pm, this is a free, open day of the village. However, any donations would be gratefully accepted and would go towards the continued restoration of the Ongaonga Museum and the Coles Factory.

Normal charges for the Ongaonga Museum are $5 for adults. Children aged 12-years and younger are free.
With plenty to see and do, this is the perfect day out for families.
