Usually, we have competitors from New Zealand and around the globe, start the Marathon and Half Marathon in the Auckland Domain.
This epic adventure begins with the 8th Continent leg of the Triple 8 Challenge. Steve Hibbs, chief organizer and adventurer for the Triple 8 Quest, bring his charges to this event as they progress around the 8 continents of the world: Auckland, Perth, Singapore, Cairo, Amsterdam, New York, Punta Arenas, and Antarctica - all in 8 days.
Due to the current travel restrictions, it will be an all New Zealand affair this time.
Ideal for those of you who are looking to complete your first Marathon or those looking for membership to the 100 Marathon Club. The course will be a certified distance for both Marathon and the Half Marathon distance. Your time will be electronically recorded and a finisher's certificate will be available on Webscorer.
This year we have one of the amazing Bay of Plenty Project K mentors and stalwart supporters, Deb Gee, who is undertaking the mammoth effort of completing twelve marathons over twelve months in 12 different locations.
