Come and learn the ins and outs of using modern cloth nappies through our relaxed ‘Intro to Modern Cloth Nappies’ workshop.
This workshop will cover the basics of using modern cloth nappies. You will learn about washing, stuffing/folding, storing and caring for your nappies. You will be able to have a look at a variety of styles and brands that are on the market to see if any of them take your fancy. The workshop will also include learning how to lanolise woollen nappy covers with the knowledgeable Jane, from Diverted Creations.
There will be nappies and woollen covers available for you to purchase at the workshop, as well as the opportunity to take home a pre-loved nappy to get you started.
The venue is child friendly so don't let this stop you.
The cost for attendance to be paid at the door on arrival. This will include some home baking and fresh fruit to snack on. Spots are limited. Email practicallygreennz@gmail.com to reserve your spot.
About your hosts:
This workshop will be facilitated by Coralie from Practically Green.
Coralie is a busy mum to five young children and she has been using modern cloth nappies for over six years now, and she also runs other waste reduction themed workshops in Auckland.
We also have the pleasure of having Jane from Diverted Creations joining us to share her nuggets of wisdom, and she will be teaching us how to lanolise woollen covers for overnight nappies. Jane is a mother to two school-aged children and used cloth nappies on her children. Jane is the master at diverting landfill-bound items and turning them into useful creations for around the home.
