Hey Southland!
Liv here, Community Development Manager for Youthline Southland.
I thought about writing this event description in the third person to sound more professional but this is my job and my gig so it's fairly obvious that I'm writing this so let's talk!
I've got a big, hairy audacious goal to see $50,000 raised for Youthline Southland in donations from the community alone over the next year.
$50,000 will go a heck of a long way toward wrapping the young people in Southland with support, guidance and empowerment, flavoured by Youthline's unique and hugely respected delivery.
We're coming up with some ideas on how to reach $50k and hosting a concert is low hanging fruit for me. With my background in music, the first big fundraiser is naturally a stonking good live music event. I'm bringing my favourite well known and hidden talents together to give you a first half showcase; featuring young local songwriters.
The second half is the long-awaited (mainly by us) stage debut of Cochrane & Price. (clears throat to stroke own ego)

About Kylie Price:
Kylie is a super fancy artist, having won all of the Trans-Tasman Country awards, been flown to the States for shows AND she famously raised hell in the name of transparency and integrity by declining a spot in NZs X-Factor, setting the wheels in motion for artists to push for fairness when signing contracts.
About Me (Liv Cochrane):
I was half of Into The East for a bunch of years, touring around Aotearoa a bunch of times, picking up awards and fancy reviews. At the end of Into The East, I hung out in breakfast radio for a few years whilst still cowriting and coproducing some awesome Kiwi music for fellow Country and Folk artists.
My role with Youthline is to build the profile and resources within this truly wonderful and deserving charitable organisation and I am so excited to start working with every one of you to bring the community together behind our youth and behind Youthline Southland!
