After some summer relaxation, Hamilton City Brass are back in concert at one of our favourite performance venues. We invite you to join us for an extraordinary evening of music performed under the baton of Mason Elliot. With a little bit of this and a little bit of that, as the Cole Porter classic says ‘Anything Goes’!

We are delighted to welcome Brian Bevage and Lynn Jamieson to the stage to delight us with their vocal talents. Waikato vocalists Jim Wilson & Grant Wilson will also entertain with some of their favourite tunes.

From the pen of Eric Whitacre comes the lush and achingly beautiful Sleep. This haunting reflection featuring gorgeous chord clusters, begins softly and slowly blossoms to a powerful climax.

From Hollywood, Randy Edelman’s Reunion & Finale from “Gettysburg” will no doubt stir emotions. Whilst not John William’s most well-known movie score, Born on the Fourth of July was nominated for an Academy Award and features lush scoring with heroic brass—beautifully captured by Hamilton City Brass.

Toes will be tapping and fingers snapping with George Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm and Barry Gray’s Stingray TV theme and Valero. These upbeat numbers will contrast with the soulful reflections and warm sounds of brass with Goff Richard’s Pastorale and Praise My Soul by John Goss.

Don’t miss Anything Goes—this promises to be a terrific night of entertainment with Hamilton’s premier brass band and a few of our friends—see you there!
