Dimphy de Vaan creates intriguing sculptural art ranging from curious figures to figurative animals. Dimphy has always been surrounded by art. Her parents were both painters, and they’d often visit galleries and museums in the Netherlands, where she grew up.
In her formative years she painted primarily with oils, but over the years has taken to experimenting with many techniques and mediums. Creativity for her is not a choice, but a compulsion and brings her infectious creative passion to her students.
Immerse yourself in a full day of creating your own unique garden sculpture at Peihana Farm, an eco-retreat (off-grid solar powered property) only 30 minutes north of central New Plymouth.
Maria Lempriere will be your host for the day and provide garden to table refreshments and delicious food. For those interested, Maria invites you to take a stroll around the orchard and gardens, and check out some of their essential eco-garden elements and learn about their plans for the property.
