All are welcome to our August 10th pot luck with special guest speaker Amanda Sorrenson, national coordinator of The Vegan Society of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Amanda be speaking about the role of the national vegan society, what their major aims and goals are, and how they help grow veganism across NZ.

Amanda has been vegetarian since childhood and vegan since 2003. She worked for many years for SAFE before taking on the role for the NZ Vegan Society of which she is a co-founder.

Please bring a vegan dish to share and your own drinks. If you are stuck for ideas on what to bring, check out our recipe page veganchristchurch.org.nz/cool-stuff/recipes/ Or if you would prefer, buy something from New World South City - they have a wide range of vegan baked goods and off the shelf dishes/food items. Please ask us if you want help thinking of what to bring.

Everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring a friend. Don’t forget the Christchurch Vegan Society is having its AGM at the same venue at 4pm so feel free to attend both events. You can read more about the AGM here: https://veganchristchurch.org.nz/events/agm-christchurch-vegan-society/

Cost: $3 towards room hire (kids free) - if $3 is too much for you, please contact us and we will sort it. We want everyone to be able to come.

Parking: Free off street car parking is available in the church car park or on street.

Bring: A vegan dish to share.

Children: there will be board games in the foyer for children while the talk is on. Bring a game if you have one you want to play or join in with our games.
