United Sustainable Sisters Sewing Bee

USS is a not-for-profit Tāmaki WRAP - Waste Reduction Action Project, aiming to empower each other to manage our menstruation more sustainably.

We sew our own cloth menstrual pads, which come in two parts- the shield and the liner, and sell these one a buy one, donate one model.

Whether you are a talented sewer, beginner or have no experience at all, come along and help us sew our cloth pads. There are plenty of tasks to do - pining, cutting, ironing, sewing, overlocking and making cups of tea. We would love your help and company during our three sessions of sewing bees.

If you have a sewing machine or overlocker you would like to use on the day please bring it along!

No experience necessary, kai and good company included.
