The first Tin Hut Live night in Autumn will be next Wednesday. Hosted by Rob Jeremy and Keith with the gracious Kate and her staff making sure we are all well fed and watered, it's the country pub scane at it's best.
Our guest band will be Ain't Superstitious led by John Pringle on bass they make a great sound exploring blues and R and B songs with their own inflections. Hailing from the Hutt Valley & the Kapiti coast, Ain't Superstitious will be playing their eclectic brand of jazzy, soul blues.
Captivating arrangements of familiar & not so familiar songs. Throw some originals in the mix & it's a show not to be missed!
Ain't Superstitious consists of Erena Whare - vocals, Andre Muller - guitar/bass, BJ Morony - guitar, John Pringle - bass/guitar/harmonica & Moray Middleton - Drums.
OPening the evening at 7.30 is Saali Marks on his Fender Stratocaster playing mostly originals which have some lovely melodies and hooks.
Keith Austin will then take us on a keyboard sound generated journey of 25 minutes of classical jazz blended musical stories when he will occasionally burst into song and then Bruce Young also from Upper Hutt will warm things up with his solo blues songs accompanied by finger- picking on an acoustic guitar.
The main act will be on at about 9.00.
Please note that we ask for $7.50 o the door to help cover musicians expenses.
