Join the Seaweek crew at Cornwallis for a family activity day.
Saturday 2 March 2019, 10am – 3pm with Sand Sculpture Competition starting at 11.30am
From 10am you can register for the Manukau Harbour clean-up at Cornwallis and take your team to any spot you like along the northern Manukau coast. Return your gloves and rubbish to Cornwallis and join us for a BBQ free for participants.
There will be a number of eco-education stalls to browse and learn about our environment and how to stay safe in the water.
From 11.30am you can register for the Sand Sculpture Competition on the beach with a range of fantastic prizes to be won including a kayak worth $800 thanks to the Manukau Beautification Charitable Trust and Canoe & Kayak. The theme for your sculpture is “Tiakina o Tātou Mōana – Care for our Seas”
Judging will take place at 2pm.
Three categories:
- Children sculpture under 16 years old
- Adult sculpture
- Family/group of adults and children sculpture
- Plus the People’s Choice award – popular vote
