A free walking tour hosted by Auckland Archaeological Society. Archaeologist Brent Druskovich is guiding the 'War in Mount Eden and Epsom' walking tour, approximately 1:30pm.

On this free tour, Brent will discuss the archaeology and history of military-related sites ranging from Pā to World War Two era in a walk that spans from the slopes of Maungawhau Mt Eden to Mount St John. It includes a mixture of hill-climbing and pavement walking. We will also stop for coffee and a chat at a cafe along the way (to be paid by individual attendees), at approximately 75% through the walk.

Please be aware that this walk is 5.5km one way (public transport is available at both ends of the route). It includes some climbs, downhills and pavement walking. We advise wearing walking shoes with good tread.

Please register for the tour on our Google Form. Registration provides information about where to meet and what to bring, and lets us know how many people are coming. Please direct enquiries to Auckland Archaeological Society, aklarchsoc@gmail.com.
