Mid Winter Workshop - Roses, Sweet Peas and Cactus

The Auckland Horticultural Council invite you to our Mid-Winter Workshop. This year, our focus will be on roses, sweet peas and succulents.

The Auckland Rose Society will be there for a rose pruning demonstration and experienced rosarians will be on hand to answer all your questions about how to get the best out of your roses.

Dr Keith Hammett and his assistant, Dharini Marinkovich, will be there to present a comprehensive guide on sweet peas and will include topics such as sowing, growing, managing diseases and how to get flowers all year round. They will also have Dr Keith's carefully bred cultivars there for purchase.

The Auckland Cactus and Succulent Society will also be present and will have plants for sale as well as experts who can answer your questions about these exotic, easy care specimens.

For our affiliate groups and hall-hirers, AHC executive committee members will be there from 1pm to provide you all with a face-to-face update on our new premises and our negotiations with the local council. We encourage you all to come and find out more about the latest news.

There will be door raffles, sales, and opportunities to join our AHC affiliate groups which gives you exclusive access to monthly Auckland Gardening updates, AHC-affiliate-only seminars and monthly newsletters.
