The Emanon Duo, an Auckland based violin and piano duo has performed in various venues over the past three years. With a common goal to inspire and touch audiences with their music-making, the duo not only brings music to the community but are coaches to the next generation of Auckland musicians.
Monica Chang (piano) and John Thomson (violin) will bring their tour to Blenheim on the 12th July 2019, celebrating music for violin and piano by diverse composers. Join them for an exciting programme for piano and violin by Mozart, Beethoven, Saint-Georges, Prokofiev, Schumann and Brahms.
- Sonata in g minor by Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges
- Sonata in e minor K 301 by W. A. Mozart
- Sonata in F Major, opus 24 "Spring" by L. van Beethoven
- Intermezzo and Scherzo from the FAE Sonata by Schumann & Brahms
- Violin Sonata No 2 in D Major opus 94a by S. Prokofiev
A masterclass with local students follows this concert on Saturday 13th July 2019 at 9.30-11.30am. $5 entry.
