Crazy For You is basically all of Gershwin’s greatest hits in one show. It is a timeless, romantic comedy and a rewrite of the 1930’s musical Girl Crazy.
A high energy, high kicking, gloriously glamorous entertainment, Crazy For You is the winner of both the Tony and Oliver awards.
The story charts the troubled love story of Bobby, son of a wealthy New York banking family and Polly, daughter of the proprietor of a failing theatre in Deadrock, Nevada.
Mistaken identities, heartbreak, happiness and a wealth of memorable tunes, including I Got Rhythm, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Embraceable You, Someone to Watch Over Me, feature in this exhilarating celebration of the great Broadway musicals.
Selwyn Community Arts Theatre has produced musicals since 2005. Following the very successful Annie in 2018 the same production team of June Renwick, Jack Barnard and Kim Santarelli promise a night of irresistible music, much laughter and non-stop tap, suitable for all the family.
