The Muddy Mamas Blues Band has got great energy, and you know they’re having fun delivering an edgy, unrestrained blend of blues from 1910’s through current.

The band features the vocals of front-woman Judi Smitheram, keyboard doyenne Mary Ruston, bass powerhouse Tim Wilkinson, Geoff Low shows his versatility on clarinet and saxophone, Davey Lil Chuck brings his bluesy harp tones and Lynden Jackson holding us together with a constant beat. The band holds down a smouldering groove behind Judi’s sultry, bluesy voice and passionate stage presence.

Their cover versions are choice and eclectic, including songs by Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, Etta James, Alberta Hunter, Caro Emerald, Beth Hart, Norah Jones and other past favourite sirens. They take a song, honour its origins, and then make it their own with drop-dead vocals and foot stomping, hip swaying rhythms. Bring your dancing shoes to make the most of the groove.

The band will get the audience tapping their toes and moving to the beat with their entertaining stage show, expert musicianship and unique sound and an intrinsic sense of fun and enjoyment of the music.

So get along to listen to the Muddy Mamas Blues Band to hear loads of your old favourites and a heap of exciting-even-older-but-new-to-you favourites as you’ve never heard them before!
