By popular demand, the ‘Trees’ Exhibition has been extended from the original end date of 4th Feb now until 16th March. It showcases the work of fifty Golden Bay and National established artists, many of whom also exhibit internationally. The response to the theme is both literal and symbolic, with traditional and contemporary examples of fine art and fine craft rendered in a variety of media – from drawings, paintings, photographs and sculptures in bronze, marble, metals and wood, to glass, textile art, ceramics, copper, object art, jewellery, furniture, books, and poetry.

Fairholme is a historic building that emerged from the timber milling industry of colonial times. Built in the early 1870’s of native woods and surrounded by heritage trees, it is a testament to the regions history and fitting for a show themed ‘Trees’. The artworks are hosted within the gallery rooms as well as in the garden.
