Three of Wellington’s premier comedians’ team up for the 2014 New Zealand International Comedy Festival to help people through the challenging times by sharing stories and advice from their own personal life crises.
If you are out of a job, going through newlywed tensions, struggling with the demands of parenthood or a ginger, Ricky Threlfo, Tito and Brad Zimmerman have some advice that may (or may not) help you with these pressures.
A two time Raw Comedy Quest Finalist Ricky has been performing stand up for three years and received rave reviews during last year’s Comedy Festival for his part in the show Gloriously Average. With impeccable comic timing, wit and a twisted sense of logic, his ability to make seemingly innocuous situations hilarious is a joy to watch.
Tito has come a long way since he began stand up five years ago and last year he was awarded the Spirit of the Festival (Wellington). Tito’s storytelling is insightful, friendly and entertaining. He’s not afraid of being the butt of his own joke and people shouldn’t be surprised at how personal his material gets.
Brad Zimmerman is a Raw Comedy Quest (Wellington) winner and national finalist in 2008. His sell out show in last year’s festival, Sky Diving with my Mum was also a critical success and his delivery of material is up there amongst the best in the country. An extremely likeable performer, with stories that are side splittingly funny, Brad is one to watch.
These comedians will show you that while life is a bitch, it ain’t all that bad.
