Munted is a verbatim documentary theatre response to the Canterbury February 22nd Earthquake, derived entirely from interviews with Cantabrians, members of the media and other NZers.
The words are performed 100% verbatim on stage, holding the integrity of the community they were gathered from.
Three performers bring to life 15 people on stage within an hour long show. Simple storytelling; no costume changes; honest perspectives; a moment in our collective history is opened.
Share stories of hope and loss, peppered with humour and surprising perspective on one of “our worst national tragedies”.
Munted finds laughter amongst grief and a strengthened community in the heart of the shaken city. Acclaimed by both critics and audiences – Munted endeavours to breathe life into the people behind the event.
