Dark Side of the Moon 40th Anniversary Tour.
As March 2013 marks the 40th Anniversary of Pink Floyd’s masterpiece ‘Dark Side of the Moon” it seemed only fitting for the Pink Floyd Experience to tour a show that celebrates and pays homage to what could well be the greatest album of all time!
From the band that brought you their world class stage presentation of The Wall, The Back Catalogue Tour and more recently The Pulse 2011 Tour, 2013 will feature the complete Dark Side of the Moon played in its entirety followed by a selection of the Finest Floyd from the last 45 years.
For many Pink Floyd fans, the Dark Side of the Moon was the album that really set Floyd apart from all other bands as they pushed new boundaries in their search for sonic perfection.
Released in March 1973 and featuring some of the most advanced recording techniques of the time, including multitrack recording, tape loops, analogue synthesisers, well crafted songs and great musicianship, the Dark Side album has truly stood the test of time selling in excess of 50 million copies.
The Pink Floyd Experience will be seeking to reproduce live with intricate detail all those classic Floyd sounds, from the in your face guitar solos of Time & Money to the huge synth & organ sounds of Breathe and On the Run to the astonishing vocals of Great Gig in the Sky and Eclipse. The second half of the show will feature some of our favourite Pink Floyd songs as well as some very often requested in what can only be described as a selection of the ‘Finest Floyd’.
With sell out shows in New Zealand, Australia and South Africa, once again the Pink Floyd Experience will be presenting a show of the highest standard, with state of the art sound, lighting & visuals, a meticulous attention to detail and an unsurpassed passion for performing Pink Floyd’s music.
This is Floyd…at its finest!
At this stage the Experience will tour New Zealand in May 2013 followed by Australia in July 2013. More dates to come...
