Sunset Coast Rotary Walk

Rotary Club of Waiuku Inc. brings you the Sunset Coast Rotary Walk.

Start between 7.30 am and 1.00 pm.

The Awhitu Peninsula, from Waiuku to The Heads, is an area of outstanding scenic beauty. The Rotary Club of Waiuku's annual fun walk is of approx 5 km or 10 km. The walking track will allow a large number of people to enjoy the views and tranquillity and at the same time help raise funds for local projects.

The walk will start and finish at 207 Kohekohe-Karioitahi Rd., Waiuku, where soft drinks and a sausage sizzle will be provided. There are also plenty of pleasant areas where a picnic lunch, or brunch, may be enjoyed.

The walk is on farm tracks and will cross minor roads. These and the cliff-top (even though fenced and patrolled) are potential hazards so children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

We regret that dogs are not permitted.

Entry will cost $20 for adults, $5 for children (between 5 and 13 years of age), and includes a free sausage and soft drink. There is no charge for children under 5.
