One night only in Wellington! Don't miss this unique chance to hear touring Chinese folk rock band Omnipotent Youth Society, fresh from sell-out performances in Beijing, China.
Touted as the next big thing in Chinese rock music, OYS has won a raft of awards, including Band of the Year at the Chinese Music media Awards.
They make what one critic has described as “hauntingly beautiful Chinese folk rock” incorporating violins, trumpets and harmonicas in their mix of instruments.
Variously described as “introspective”, “poetic” “powerful” and “beautiful”, the words to OYS’s songs are familiar to audiences wherever the band plays in China.
