The fifth and final round of the 2013 New Zealand Motorcycle Road Race Championships being held at Ricoh Motorsport Park in Taupo. The first full national meeting at was held Taupo in 1978. But it wasn't till 2012 that another full meeting which included all classes of the national series was held. The 1978 meeting was held on the original short circuit.
