Japan Day 2013

Japan Day is the biggest one-day Japanese cultural event in New Zealand welcoming everyone to experience, learn, watch and taste the culture of Japan under one roof.

Ikebana, tea ceremony, kimono display, shuji, origami, bonsai and many other displays and demonstrations. Traditional dancing, singing, taiko drums, mochi making, martial arts and many many other performances throughout the day on indoor stage and outdoor stage. Food stalls of many kinds, shops and sponsor displays.

2013 Japan Day will also host the Bon Dancing - typical Japanese summer festival dance your family can join in from 17:00-19:00 at the same place. Just join us and get a big prize (ticket to Japan)
