The Interislander Summer Festival is a celebration of summer; with a fun, relaxed and casual atmosphere. Deck chairs, sun umbrellas, shorts, jandals and a picnic – it’s a classic Kiwi summer’s day.

For the first time, Interislander Summer Festival will be held here at Ellerslie this Saturday 12th January. There will be something for the whole family to enjoy, including live music, free children’s entertainment and local food and wine. There is nothing like a great picnic day out with the family and we’ll will keep the kid's entertained all day on the Newmarket Lawn with free activities such as Kids Go Racing!

The popular Kids Go Racing events and activities for under-12s have a fun equine theme, with classics such as ‘pin-the-tail-on-the-horse’ and the horseshoe toss. Kids will also have the chance to meet Hopples or Stirrup, the friendly Interislander Summer Festival horse mascots and by participating in the activities they will receive a free goodie bag! There are so many exciting activities and loads of prizes up for grabs for the entire family including an Interislander Family Prize Pack with a value of $600!

Adults will be able to sit back and relax with all day entertainment including being a part of our Punters Club and taking in the live racing action. Pack a picnic or take advantage of the wonderful hospitality we have to offer!
