Join the thousands of fans embracing the passion and energy of Sevens rugby.
The Hertz Sevens is the fifth leg in the HSBC Sevens World Series, played here in Wellington. A major event on the national sporting calendar, the Hertz Sevens features teams representing 16 countries from all over the world in a two day action packed tournament.
The tournament will act as the halfway point of the HSBC World Series when the competition heats up towards determining who will be in contention to take out the series title. After the Hertz Sevens the teams will continue on to Las Vegas.
A hugely popular event, each year 35,000 fans flock to the capital crowding flights, streets and bars alike with a flurry of costumes and fun. The streets of Wellington become a carnival of colour as groups flock to the streets dressed as superheroes, robbers, pirates and ninjas, before heading to Westpac Stadium to cheer on their team.
