Auckland’s Coca Cola Easter Show continues its resurgence in 2013 with a huge lineup of new acts and attractions, including the spine tingling Hollywood Horrors.

The latest scary attraction to come out of the US, Hollywood Horrors features scenes from 13 of Hollywood’s most famous horror movies including Friday The 13th, The Exorcist, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Childs Play and The Shining.

Hollywood Horrors will be the highlight of an entirely new Carnival arena at the Easter Show, with rides shipped in from Australia and around the country, including a huge Ghost Train being built especially for the show and a giant Euro Slide.

It’s not all horror at the show however and this year music takes centre stage. Along with the Cultural Stage running throughout the event, with performances by JGeeks, Phenomenon and the Brazillian Divas, there will be two high profile concerts in the Logan Campbell Theatre.

On Friday and Saturday evening, Dane Rumble and new boyband Titanium will perform on the main stage supported by 18 year old singer/songwriter Massad and dynamic musical duo Jupiter Project. Tickets are available for both shows and includes entry to the Easter Show.

Both shows will feature signings by the bands before the performance and will finish in time for the fireworks scheduled to happen each night at 9.00pm.

But the entertainment doesn’t stop there, with other attractions including Zirka Circus, with the all new Wheel of Death and crowd favorite Globe of Death. SpottyWot and DottyWot from Pukeko Pictures’ preschool series, The WotWots, perform live shows daily and the internationally acclaimed lumberjack extravaganza The Canadian Bush Whackers Show returns by popular demand. Circus, children’s and arena shows are FREE with an Easter Show entry ticket.

Plus all the animals are there also, with flocks, herds, gaggles and broods of all manner of farm animals in New Zealand’s biggest indoor A&P show.

Went on Thursday night, was a total disappointment. Won't ever bother going back. Going to Victoria park today, I here it's WAY better.

I went there on Thursday. It was an amazing experience! Especially with the farm animals! Feeding them, hugging them! They were following us around. Lol. They even have the legendary fluffy chicken!!

The Bushwackers and Deelicious are soo funny and amazing! The firework, though, was pretty short, but fantastic, still. The rides were cool. And my favourite part is the makeup booth for scars, but, bullethole, gash, or total mash up. I wish I had enough money to try the Hollywood Horror though. =)

Yes apparently all the rides are in town, however I spent all my $300 at the Easter show, so don't have extra cash to now go to Town.

I agree. what's happen to the easter show. We paid $85 for 3 adults 1 student and 1 12year old. Both the children couldn't go on any rides as all the rides were for 8years olds, that's why we go to the easter show for the rides. So children had to look at the art show and watch the animals, they were not impressed. Found out that all the rides for teenagers are across the road at Victoria park in the city. We went down there, children had a great time, we never be attending the easter show again. The easter show should of advertise that they dont have the teenager rides there anymore considering that they have always been there for over 20years.

Who has destroted the Easter Show?Went along apart from the new attraction which got monotonous with its contant banter trying to get people to enter, the show has gone completely down hill.Sideshows are all aimed at the little kids(Why have show open later than 6pm?)Very few stalls there and even the food concessions had reduced in number. The art show is now in the cattle barn and the agriculture is mainly McDonalds traveling farm.Looks like someone wants to end the Auckland Easter show!
