This summer Zimmerman Gallery is delighted to exhibit the meticulously crafted bronze works of Invercargill sculptor, Roddy McMillan.

McMillan is perhaps best known for his large bronze sculpture of motorcycling legend Burt Munro inside his 1920 Indian motorcycle. This 4.5m long labour of love took two years to complete, and was installed in 2011 in Queen’s Park, Invercargill.

The bronze sculptures featured at Zimmerman Gallery are of a much smaller scale, but are equally as engaging, and executed with intricate detail. Some of the sculptures are on recycled jarrah wood bases, while others are freestanding.
