Borrow a bike for free from Re:Start mall! Located at the Bridge of Remembrance, Borrow-a-bike is a socially engaging art project by Rosalee Jenkin for The Social, as part of the summer Art Beat programme. Go for a bike ride through the park or out to the beach, check out the exciting things happening on vacant sites around the city, or run those errands on your lunch break!
Bikes have been generously loaned by obliging participants and are free to borrow for up to a day, on the condition that some form of ID and an item of value is left behind while the bicycle is in use.
There is no money involved, as the point of the project is to encourage alternative forms of trade and it is built around an exchange of trust.
Bikes needed! Can you loan a bike? Please contact email@example.com. on Facebook for more details (www.facebook.com/events/323448101100273)
